Elite tennis leads the lineup on ESPN in July with more coverage from the season's third Grand Slam, Wimbledon.
Played yearly in London, Wimbledon is the only Slam contested on grass and continues to honor long-standing traditions like royal patronage, a strict dress code for competitors and the eating of strawberries and cream. Last year saw Andy Murray defeat Serbia's Novak Djokovic to become the first British male singles champion since Fred Perry in 1936.
All the top-ranked players are expected on the court this month, led by Murray, Djokovic, Spain's Rafael Nadal - the 2013 yearend No. 1 - and countryman David Ferrer, not to mention Switzerland's Stan Wawrinka, the reigning Australian Open champion, and a reenergized Roger Federer, the Swiss star who is tied at seven with Pete Sampras for the most Wimbledon titles.
For the women, expect U.S. star Serena Williams to make things tough on top challengers like China's Li Na, Russia's Maria Sharapova and Poland's Agnieszka Radwanska.
